Moving out with 19 inch data cabinets
I am moving out to a new and bigger flat next week and I have a problem. All the local moving companies do not want to take a risk and take my computer equipment. I work at home as a programmer and I use a lot of different devices in my job and due to great need of free virtual memory space I have a whole room designed as a small server room. I have five 19 inch data cabinets in there and a lot of wires and stuff. As I previously said I want to move all this equipment in one piece to the new flat. So what is the problem you would ask? The problem is that none of the local moving companies want to take responsibility for such expensive equipment. I know that I do not live in a big city where I could easily find such company. On the area where I live there are only three different moving companies and none of them want to take my order. It is so unbelievable but it seems that I will have to hire a lorry or a van and take all this stuff by myself. Every time when a worker of a moving company saw those 19 inch data cabinets full of electronics he claimed that he can not take this job. I do not know what the deal is, I mean I thought that is what they are for. But they all said the same story that they can take and move all my stuff like furniture but they will not take responsibility for fragile and expensive computer equipment. I was left alone with this problem.
